Vikarabad Forest(Ananthagiri Hills)

One of the most beautiful places to get away from cities traffic. It is around 80 kms from Hyderabad
Ananthagiri hills are 6 km drive from Vikarabad town towards Tandor road. The road is superb and best way to travel is to take a four wheeler vehicle.Ananthagiri temple is on the right side (from vikarabad to tandor) The temple is of Lord Anantha Padmanabha. 100 mts along the temple you have the pool to bath and go to temple.Going forward along the route we end up into the dense forests. you find beautiful trees and plants all the way with lots of weird looking trees. Near the temple one can find lots of caves carved from the hills a great place to take few snaps... for a adventurous ppl there are locations where you can experience the total greenery of the forest.

On the way back to Vikarabad towm near the light house take a turn towards TB hospital and 2 kms on the way is the top most point in the vikarabad area.(there are hardly anyone who will visit the place) From here one can find all the beautiful places in vikarabad.

On the way back there is another temple on the left (just be cautious to park your vehicle on road itself) ortherwise one will end in the steep man made hole ) See the first pic

One can go through the clouds if you happen to go to vikarabad on a cloudy day with a little drizzle.
